Meeting Bulletin

The sponsorship of the $250 Rotary Endeavour Award for the Caritas College graduation has been confirmed, with an invoice received for payment. Helen will present the award on Rotary's behalf on the night (Friday November 13).

A student at Caritas College has been offered a place at the National Youth Science Forum in January. He has approached the club for support towards the program fees ($3000). The suggestion is to organise a Bunnings fundraiser BBQ. This would require us to cover both Saturday and Sunday (9am - 5pm). The suggestion would be for 16 shifts (4 people Saturday AM, 4 people PM, and so on). Nathan emailed Bunnings with no response, Helen will follow up with a phone call.

The Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) has launched a disaster relief fund in response to the flooding disaster in Nepal. The flooding has left affected families without homes, possessions, and livelihoods, and has raised concerns about the spread of waterborne diseases due to damaged water and sanitation infrastructure.

 

Funds will assist projects and Rotary Clubs with projects in Nepal responding to assist families and the communities to recover. Any assistance will help the Nepalese communities affected by the flooding to recover.
